Wednesday in the Word

I recently listened to an interview with a popular artist/musician who shared that she has become a follower of Christ.

In this interview, she gave her testimony of how she became a Christian after a long, hard road of being involved in drugs, alcoholism, witchcraft and new age practices.

She went on to describe how she would use meditation and "self-help" practices to attempt to bring herself peace.

There was something that she said in this interview that really stood out to me. After describing all the things that she was involved in, she then said that it was all just "short lived band-aids on a sinking ship". How very true that is!

I hope that we can all echo the words of David from Psalm 16:1-11 and know in our hearts that "those who run after gods will suffer more and more" (vs 4), but may we keep our eyes always on the Lord, because with Him at our right hand, we will not be shaken! (vs
