Be Kind – Be the Light – Love – The Church has been quiet too long – Love as God loves.

These are just a few notes that I grabbed and stored away from Paul’s message Sunday morning.

Honestly, I have really pondered, "Be kind" and, "The church has been quiet way too long," a lot lately.

Can we do both at the same time? YES!! Just because we stand up for what we believe and “shout out” what Christ has done for us, this doesn’t mean that we must attack or protest or cause a controversy while doing it. God calls us to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16) BUT He also calls us to be kind and compassionate (Ephesians 4:32).

So many people in our world are hurting and hiding behind that hurt that most of us don’t know. We just assume that they don’t like us or are just not nice people. A little of God's light and a little kindness can be just want they need. God’s love and kindness can break down barriers that we face.

Ephesians 2:14 speaks of God being our peace and reconciling the Jew and Gentiles – destroying the barriers between the two groups. If God did it then – he can do it now!!

Go forth and shine HIS light – HIS love – HIS kindness!!!
