God Answers Prayers
October 4, 2023God Answers Prayers.
The past few months have been a bit rough for Ryan and me. We have felt a bit under attack since he has been appointed Worship Coordinator and I have been leading a ladies small group. Nothing major, but small things that really could have been big things but always ended up not being anything major. For example, the incident that Chad spoke about with the car going sideways at the stop light was one of our family members. They could have ended up in the intersection in an accident. However, God provided protection, and we are very thankful. Or the evening that we came home exhausted form VBS to find the air conditioner not working properly. It feels like a major issue when its 85+ in the house – but after some investigation we discovered it was only a flipped breaker. Again, not a thing major.
Several weeks ago, Chad’s message on prayer showed me that God has been in control all along. Even when we may be under attack – God is answering our prayers. Prayers of safety for a new driver in the house – prayers for direction when making hard decisions at work, prayers for guidance in our everyday lives, and prayers for our church. We have seen all these prayers answered recently!
We don’t have to stress and worry. God can be our peace if we trust in Him. God was ahead of us in each instance and the things that could have been big things – really weren’t near as bad as they could have been. Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."
God is in control! Keep your mind steadfast on him! Rest in his peace. Remember it’s “Not my will – but may your will be done. (Matthew 26:39, Romans 8:26-27.)
With all the things and stressors that happen in our lives we can still live in peace – God is saying, “Let me! Through you – Let ME! For my Glory.” (II Thessalonians 1:12)
I encourage you to find His peace through prayer and live in it. Watch and see all the prayers that He truly answers.
