Hear the Word of the Lord to You Today
May 10, 2023For the strong and the weak.
For the blessed and the broken-hearted.
For the warriors and the wounded.
For the rejoicing and the weeping.
For the healthy and the sick.
For the rested and the worn out.
For the passionate and the apathetic.
For the old and the young.
For the man and the woman.
Hear the Word of the Lord to you today:
Be confident of this, he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Phil. 1:6)
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ. (Eph. 1:4-5)
[This suffering] has come so that your faith of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire, may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (1 Peter 1:7)
God will keep you strong to the end so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 1:8)
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. (1 Thess. 5:23-24)
Amen.
