Wednesday in the Word

I am thankful we live in a country where we still have freedom. Freedom to serve God – Freedom to worship God – Freedom to pray. We should never take for granted the freedoms that we have in our country.

However, we should also not take for granted the freedom we can have in Christ! In the final “Escape the Spiritual Slide with Chad,” he taught the last two verses of Jude.

Jude 24. To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy – 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power, and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages and forevermore! Amen.

Oh, the freedom that can be found in just those two verses. Do we still “stumble” in our day-to-day life at times? Yes! But to know that when it’s time for us to stand before God – that because of Christ we will be able to stand there totally blameless without any fault because Jesus has paid that price for each of us…WOW!

It does not give us a reason to live on “cheap grace” – and do whatever we want but it gives us reason to celebrate that even though we do stumble in the day to day – we don’t stumble away from God – and this my friends should give all of us a hope and desire to worship and to rest in HIS glory, majesty, power and authority because the price has been paid.

We can live in HIS freedom.
