Wednesday in the Word

Recently, Aaron and I have been going through a Daily Grace study entitled “Thirty-one Days of Prayer for My Children”. There are different topics each day, along with verses and prayer prompts, to pray for your children. One of them is having confidence in Christ. Jeremiah 17:7 says, “The person who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence indeed is the Lord, is blessed.” The enemy will try to steal our children’s joy, innocence, and hope. But Jeremiah tells them they will be blessed if they turn to Christ, fully trusting and having confidence in HIM alone. Satan seeks to destroy, but Christ restores. Philippians promises that the good work God has begun in us will be completed in Christ’s return: ”I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (1:6). We can each have confidence in Christ’s victory through salvation! May we be teaching our children the victory we have over the enemy, no matter what he throws at us. We can have confidence in Christ!
