Wednesday in the Word

At the end of Pastor Chad's sermon on Sunday, he asked us to think of a time when someone showed us kindness.

It did not take me long to make a mental list of people, just in our church alone, who have shown my family and me incredible kindness in the past seven years that we have been regularly attending. I could share so many stories and examples of how I have seen and experienced the people in our church being the hands and feet of Jesus. There are many who went above and beyond to extend kindness that we felt we didn't deserve.

If you yourself have also experienced this, you know just how humbling it is.

It serves as a wonderful reminder of the kindness that Jesus graciously poured onto us when we certainly did not deserve it (Titus 3:4-7).

And because we know this truth, we can show others the kindness of Jesus that doesn't dismiss sin but brings about humility. We can temper our words and actions in a way that will point them to Jesus and the Cross.

I would like to encourage you to listen to the sermon again this week.

Meditate on the Scripture we went over.

Thank God for all of the kindness He has shown you.

Take the time to write it down, so when you doubt that He cares for you, you will have a list of reminders to confirm that HE DOES.

And don't forget to share the kindness of Jesus with someone this week!
